CHURCH HISTORY
The journey of our Church and our faith congregation has started in the Year 1924, it was when we as a community started believing in Jesus Christ and accepted the truth that the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is the true Redeemer.
In the year 1944, Bishop Vedanayagam Samuel Azariah (17 August 1874 – 1 January 1945) who was the First Indian bishop in the churches of the Anglican Communion, serving as the first bishop of the diocese of Dornakal visited our Church at Nadikuda on 28th of December. It was his Last Worship Service before he Rested in Peace in God’s Hands. Since his visit, the Church has saved thousands of souls by the Grace of God.
Since 1924, as we served our Heavenly Father in a temporary place of worship. A true believer of Lord, Beloved, Late Duppati Yellaiah (Daniel) F/O Duppati Benjamin (BabuRao) & Daniel’s brothers came forward wholeheartedly to donate the land to the Church for their love towards the Lord and for the village community to live a spiritual life.
On 22nd February of 1959, C.S.I. ST. THOMAS CHURCH at Nadikuda has been dedicated by The Rt. Rev. Dr. M.M. John, a Bishop in Madhya Kerela. His dedication came with the heartfelt motivation of the Sunday School Children of Madhya Kerala Diocese, who has Sponsored by giving funds for the Reconstruction of the Church and dedicated the same on the 2nd of October 1977 by The Rt. Rev. P. Solomon, a Bishop in Dornakal. (To this day, the Sponsorship by Sunday School Children of Madhya Kerala Diocese has been remembered by the people and the members of the Church, and praised for their devotion towards God.)
On 20th October 2013, C.S.I. ST. THOMAS CHURCH at Nadikuda has been extended by The Rt. Rev. Dr. P. Surya Prakash, a Bishop in Karimnagar accompanied by Rev. K. BabuRao, a former Pastorate Chairman of Nadikuda, and Rev. E. Paul, a G.C.C. Chairman of Parkal.
C.S.I. ST. THOMAS CHURCH at Nadikuda with Dharmaram Church, Koukonda Church, and Pocharam Church combinedly known as Nadikuda Pastorate.
On 22nd October 2020, Rev. K. Reuben Mark a Deputy Moderator and a Bishop in Karimnagar has laid a foundation stone for the construction of a new home for Nadikuda Church Pastor accompanied by Rev John Wesley Marri, a Church Pastor with Duppati Benjamin (BabuRao) – DCC Member, and Duppati Ravi – Church Treasurer , and Duppati Ramesh – Pastorate Secretary, and members of the Church.
